The art of Suzanne Jasmijn Schoon (2002, Delfgauw) is infinitely interpretable; whether it is fun speech bubbles, or existential birds, it provokes a reaction. These reactions help, and the interpretations inspire her to make. She captures these reactions- and her own, through painting en writing.

Suzanne's work can be categorized by cool tones, deep subjects, like depression and anxiety, and grasping text, which are all part of her mission to share. To make meaningful art, that belongs not only to her, but to others as well, and which they can make their own. She makes to make; this strategy inspires her to create new ideas from previous work she has made, which results in a continuous loop in which she can stay inspired.

''I haven't made my best work yet,'' are words Suzanne lives by. When she is satisfied with her artworks, she has a curious mindset and thinks to herself what else she can do. Suzanne: ''I experienced a turning point, where I no longer forced myself to make 'good' art, and be critical about it. I just started making art, without the results being the only thing that mattered to me, and for the first time I could be happy with myself and the work I was making. I had gained proof that I could do quite a lot, so, who knows what else I would be able to do after some time? I want to endlessly discover this question, because that is the best version of myself that I can be. That is why I am Soon Suzanne.''
